True Grit Guidelines.

1. Server Rules.
We believe a quality server begins and ends with quality people respecting one another. When players can participate in competitive play, and have fun while doing it, enjoyment is a result for all. With this in mind, we stand firmly behind the principles of gentlemanly conduct and attitude. This conduct in sports is typified by fair play, courtesy and respect for your opponents and teammates, striving spirit, and grace in losing.

To reinforce these principles the following server rules have been instituted:
  1. AWP and AUTOSNIPERS = BANNED from server for all maps. Per request to an admin, a vote may be enabled to allow One AWP per team under certain circumstances.
  2. Win or lose, be graceful. No showboating.
  3. Do not spray corpses, this is showboating.
  4. No stacking of teams. To assist in this endeavour, an auto team balance is in place on the Server.

2. Player Conduct.

  1. Swearing will not be Tolerated. If you Swear, Prepare to Play on another Server.
  2. Do not boss players around, yell at them, or belittle them in any way.
  3. Do not spam MIC. This goes for both in game commands and personal mic use.
  4. Terrorist Team - Do not kill hostages intentionally. CT Team - Hostage killilng will be allowed when conducted for strategic purposes.
  5. Always attempt to complete the objectives.
  6. Any of the following Sprays : Porn , nudity , racism , etc... WILL NOT be tolerated on this server.
  7. Behaviour only meant to shock, disturb, or upset players is forbidden!

3. Allowed Player Actions.

  1. Tactical camping is allowed. {i.e. Garage in militia, house on italy, etc.}
  2. If you need admin assistance, please direct your questions to either an online [TG] member, <TG Rep> member, or post on our forums.

4. DisAllowed Player Actions.

  1. Ghosting (being lanned, using the other computer to find enemies).
  2. Cheating of any kind. It will not be tolerated.
  3. Silent/Invisible plants.
  4. Boost Planting of any shape size or form.
  5. Terrorist Team - Intentionally injuring/killing hostages.
  6. Do not abuse the admins.
  7. Do not advertise your server, clan, etc.. Use your own server to recruit.
  8. Offensive or Rude Names - a name containing profanity, references to porn, drinking, etc.. WILL NOT be tolerated.
    Time will be given to player to change name, if it is not changed, then the offender will be kicked.

5. Server Player Admin Commands.

Type the following commands in chat to execute certain variables:
  1. rank - displays your current ingame server rank. In game Ranks are reset after 2000 players become ranked. Our Pyschostats webpage statistics are never reset.
  2. nextmap - displays the nextmap
  3. thetime - displays the current time
  4. currentmap - displays the current map
  5. Settings - allows players to turn on/off sounds, damage reports, deathbeams, etc.
  6. timeleft - displays the time left on the current map
  7. motd - displays the opening banner page for our website with information about Our Rules etc.
  8. !bounty - displays any current bounties that are oustanding on in game players
  9. damage - When dead, typing this command will display how much damage was given/taken by player and to whom.



[TG] Clan True Grit - Established February 16, 2006

Chaos has become the familiar picture for the world of CSS. Its streets have run rampant with profanity, rudeness, and inappropriate material. In its wake a cry has rung out. One for something better, something more honorable, something more mature. The sound has become deafening and the question remains. Who will ride in and break this cycle? In the midst of this turmoil A new clan has been formed by a seasoned crew of veterans. A clan of law enforcement, with a roster ranging from Marshals to dedicated Posse, this crew has ridden into town to restore order and eliminate the chaos. They ride by the title True Grit [TG] - A symbol that embodies hope to the citizens and fear to all outlaws. What does it mean to have True Grit? A complete definition can not be easily articulated, but this list of adjectives describe many of common traits. Integrity, professionalism, maturity, and honor. It means respect for the game, for the community, and for the individual. It means upholding justice and defending the peace in the face of a mass of lawbreakers.

After years of clan experience and server operation management under their belts, our Founders - PaleRider, ShootToThrill, The Kid!, Marshal Stryker, and Marshal Extreme - have decided to yet again journey into the wild western frontier and build a fresh new clan of law enforcement. Our server resides in Atlanta, Georgia and is hosted by NuclearFallout. True Grit Clan leadership recognized that opportunities clearly existed for growth and expansion in the CSS community. From their previous clan experience, our leadership identified that numerous pubbers adamently sought an environment built within a clean, wholesome, and family friendly atmosphere. As a result, it became obviously clear that a new Town needed to be established with the vision of creating another fragtastic safehaven for pubbers to log onto. We hope you find your experience while pubbing at [TG] to be fun, competitive, and easy-going. Our Goal is to provide the best CSS gaming experience possible! Enjoy our town!
