What is TGT Pro?

True Grit Town Professional is a community/leadership/recruitment concept created by clan [TG] and announced to the public on March 10, 2006. The idea is a new, fresh, and innovative way for regulars to feel more invested and involved from their time on the [TG] Monster Server and Forums. Furthermore, this concpet allows [TG] to identify and build long term relationships with many regulars who potentially could be future clan recruits. The town accomplishes a multitude of things by providing regulars a voice, a community location, recognition, and establishment. The town also allows [TG] to develop the future leaders and admins of the Monster Server by training qualified town members who desire future clanship. From a community perspective, the town provides a great avenue and location for all members to develop solid relationships.

Within TGT Pro, members obtain different levels of status:

Town Citizens
The entry level designation for the town. Players must first qualify to enter the TGT pro area of town and become Town Citizens (TC). To qualify, a player must have at least 75 hours of server game time (as defined by our psychostats online time webpage) and 75 posts in our Forums. Once these prerequisites have been achieved, a player must submit a PM to our recruiter, [TG]Marshal Stryker, expressing interest to become a Town Citizen and enter TGT pro. Upon receiving a PM expressing interest, all requests for Town Citizenship will be forwarded to the town and evaluated by the Town Council members (leaders of our town, aka <TG Reps>). Once a player has successfully become a member of the TGT pro area, players will be asked to choose a profession. Professions are not set in stone and can change over time. They are merely an indication of the things that the individual might be volunteering to do in order to help out the TGT community. Initially, TGT pros will work in 5 key professions areas: Saloon (identifies new and exciting ideas for the servers and forums such as bounty mods etc..), Newspaper (provides real world news regarding the server, the community, and the clan to the Town), School (provides information to the public regarding tips and tricks for improving your CSS gameplay - how to's on skins, sprays, etc..), Church, and Jail. These Key Professions will relate to the TG gaming community in a real world manner and will be developed by the first TGT professional members. Other responsibilities and privileges of a Town Citizen will be fully developed by the Town Council members.

Town Councilmen
Town Councilmen, aka <TG Reps>, are the leading citizens of TGT pro area and make up the Town Council. These individuals also create and maintain Laws and Statutes that govern the TGT community. Some of the privileges include a reserved slot on the server, private forum access to discuss town council and town agendas, and basic server admin rights. The Town council is directly managed by the TG Mayor, [TG]Marshal Stryker. The mayor has full veto power over any and all Town Council actions. In order to become a Town Councilman a player must have 150 hours playing time on the server and 150 posts in the Forum. In addition all Town Council members must be sponsored by the Mayor and or a TG clan member, and must be approved by the clan leadership. Any Town Councilman may be striped of his/her privileges, removed from the city council, and lose TGT membership if they are caught breaking TGT Laws and ordinances, depending on the severity of the violation. In addition to the mayor's veto power, any and all actions of the Town council may be vetoed or rescinded by a ruling of the TG clan leadership.

Town Council Responsibilities
Some of the responsibilities of the Town Council include passing laws to govern the TGT pro area and its members. Any discussions of lawbreakers will happen in the Courthouse, a private Forum area for the Town Council, moderated by the Mayor. In addition, Town Council members are expected to perform server administration while on the server and adhere and uphold all [TG] clan rules and ordinances.

True Grit Ideals

All TGT Professional members must uphold the ideals of True Grit, where a person believes in decency, fairness, and the rights of others to game in happiness. If you have True Grit, you are a person that stands on moral principles and lives up to your word. True Grit also means that you are prepared to fight for what you think is right, yet willing to honor the rights of other players to disagree and to always treat players with respect.
